A new phase of development for New Spool between investments and foreign markets

Founded in 1998 in Val di Non, New Spool quickly emerged as an innovative company in the welding industry, introducing to the market a new type of metal spool designed for winding welding wire: the BS300. This product, destined to become a benchmark for the sector, was for years the company’s flagship, making it the world’s leading producer.
Over the years, the company has followed a steady growth path, evolving into a key player in the industry. From an initial output of approximately 100,000 units per year, New Spool has now surpassed 4 million spools sold annually. At the same time, the company has expanded its know-how, developing and designing machinery for the mass production of steel spools; today it operates in more than 25 countries.
Developments continue through new strategic investments aimed at strengthening competitiveness and establishing a direct presence in international markets. The main directions include production expansion in Italy, stronger foothold into the United States, and participation in the international trade fair wire Düsseldorf.
New facility in Tombolo: New Spool expands production capacity in Italy
In Italy, a new production site in Tombolo (PD) is currently under development, designed to expand the product range beyond those already manufactured by its partner ARBE Srl.
“The new facility will make it possible to increase the level of automation and implement advanced solutions for the management and optimization of raw material and finished product storage, with the goal of improving the efficiency of production and logistics processes,” commented Marina Zadra, owner of New Spool.
Expansion into the United States: a strategic foothold in the North American market
At the same time, the company is strengthening its foothold in international markets through the establishment of a new company in the United States, in Ohio.
“This initiative stems from the intention to turn logistics costs into a development opportunity, strengthening our direct presence in the North American market, one of the main industrial hubs for the welding wire sector,” Zadra continues. “The new facility will also make it possible to offer a more cost-effective, faster, and more efficient service to local customers, improving supply management and enhancing customer support.”
In an industrial environment that is constantly evolving, the company aims to enhance its operational responsiveness and the quality of the service provided. This approach supports structured and sustainable growth in the long term.
International visibility at wire Düsseldorf
Among the key events of 2026, New Spool will take part in wire Düsseldorf, scheduled from April 13 to 17, the leading global trade fair for the wire and cable industry. The participation represents an important opportunity to strengthen its commercial presence in Europe, with a particular focus on Germany, and to establish new partnerships.
