GEM Welding at wire & tube 2026: 40 years of expertise in resistance welding

GEM Welding at wire & tube 2026: 40 years of expertise in resistance welding

From April 13 to 17, 2026, GEM Welding will showcase its resistance welding technologies at wire & Tube Düsseldorf, with solutions specifically developed for manufacturers of wire baskets, grids, frames, and complex wire assemblies.

The 2026 edition also marks a significant milestone: GEM’s 40th anniversary, since its founding on June 5, 1986. Over the past four decades, the company has built solid expertise in resistance welding across a wide range of industries and applications, with a strong focus on the wire sector, where it has established itself as a strategic partner.

Welding technologies designed for flexible production

Today’s industrial environment is defined by shorter production runs, highly variable geometries, and smaller batch sizes. As a result, manufacturers need equipment that can deliver fast changeovers, high flexibility, and consistent weld quality—even when handling complex wire structures.

To address these challenges, GEM designs welding systems that streamline production, minimize setup times, and ensure reliable process repeatability. Each system is developed based on a detailed analysis of the customer’s production process, including critical issues, product mix variability, and required output volumes, in order to define the most suitable technical solution.

The portfolio includes stand-alone welding machines, automated systems, and robotic cells, all integrating welding modules, feeding systems, and automation components aimed at improving efficiency and ensuring continuous production flow.

At the show, visitors can explore Marta System, GEM’s modular robotic solution for resistance welding. Its Cartesian-axis design and configurable welding modules allow it to be tailored to a wide range of applications, including baskets, grids, frames, and other wire-based assemblies.

Multiple configurations are available to optimize cycle times while maintaining a high degree of production flexibility, making it easy to switch between different product types.

A new website to discover GEM technologies

Among the company’s latest developments is its new website, offering a comprehensive overview of GEM’s resistance welding technologies.

The platform provides a clear presentation of robotic systems, stationary welding machines, and automation components, helping manufacturers quickly identify the solutions that best match their production requirements.

Components and technologies for system integrators

Alongside complete welding solutions, GEM also supplies welding guns, pneumatic cylinders, nut feeding systems, and electrode dressers.

The exhibition is therefore also an opportunity for system integrators and automation specialists to connect with a reliable industry partner and explore potential collaborations.
