Surface-coated steel strip

The case-hardening steels and DC grades from Waelzholz that have been coated with a phosphate layer are particularly suitable for complex forming processes. This phosphate- coated steel strip is used, for example, to manufacture bucket tappets in wear-free valve control systems in the automotive industry.

Waelzholz also manufactures steel strip with galvanized surfaces. Coatings with zinc or nickel, for example, offer long-lasting protection against corrosion or provide excellent conductivity.
